Paganella Ski

Paganella represents a perfect winter vacation getaway for those who love skiing, but also desire to spend few days of relax and fun in a picturesque setting as that represented by winter’s mountain landscapes, especially when those mountains are the famous Dolomites. Paganella ski area, located right in front of the magnificent Brenta’s Dolomites, Unesco World heritage site, counts on 50 kilometers of very wide ski slopes, located along 1,100 meters of vertical drop and covered by a snowmaking system that covers 100% of the trails. Paganella is also extremely appealing for its strategic position thanks to its proximity to the city of Trento, to the exit of the A22 Brenner highway connecting Verona to Munich (a short 20 minute car ride from the resort to the highway) and to the airports of Verona, Bolzano and Innsbruck. How to reach us.

The ski area fits the needs of every type of skier thanks to the variety of its slopes: 11 blue trails with different degrees of difficulty for beginners, 15 red runs for good skiers and a black run for the more experienced ones. In addition to that a large snow park is available for the growing number of snowboard lovers. For kids, beginners or for those who desire to improve their technique on the different ski disciplines, a team of more than one hundred and ninety ski instructors is available. Many of them are also english speakers and prepared to tutor disables and blind people thanks to dedicated programs which work on developing coordination and specific skills. The villages of Andalo and Fai della Paganella are directly connected with the ski area through an extensive network of 14 ski lifts (and 5 tapis roulant) which provides an hourly capacity of 27,000 person. The whole ski area can be enjoyed buying a single ski pass, while it’s also possible to test the slopes of the other resorts of SKIRAMA Dolomiti circuit (Monte Bondone, Folgaria, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folgarida – Marilleva, Pejo and Passo Tonale) acquiring the so called COMBI and SUPERSKIRAMA ski passes which allow to ski within the larger ski area of Trentino.

Two evenings a week, Tuesday and Friday, the lifts stay open with the ski runs illuminated, providing the opportunity to descend on skis in the moonlight.

With regard to the hospitality, the resort area offers high-level accomodation solutions such as hotels and residences of different categories with many facilities for children and families and wellness and SPA lovers. The new public sports center “Acqua In” adds to the offer a gym center, indoor swimming pools, a professional wellness center, a big ice ring and a major convention center.

In line with the best traditions of Italian food and wine, a great attention is on offering a great local cuisine experience. During the day while skiing several mountain huts offer drinks and great food alternatives to the comers. The slogan that welcomes guests in these places, from which you can also enjoy the unique natural landscape, is “Enjoy the world of Trentino and choose your dish”, a concept which will be accomplished through partnerships with local companies, such as the Cheese Group Trentino, Trento Milk Federation and the farmers of the province. The aim is to provide a great food experience made of local products with a culinary tradition combining the Mediterranean taste with slices of German food tradition which give guests an experience strongly linked to the territory.

The ski area is not only appreciated by families and skiers, but it’s also a champions’ favorite spot. In the recent years, Andalo – Paganella Ski became the european training base for the US Ski Team including Bode MillerTed Ligety and the other american champions, as well as Aksel Lund Svindal and the Norway Ski Team have elected it as their own training base. Those champions not only were seen often in Paganella preparing the most important events of their busy season, but they’ve also built strong human connections with the community going well beyond the training sessions and the races preparations.

The same slopes used for professional trainings are also the home of some famous high-level ski alpine competitions. On the Olimpionica 2 slope are organized annually year two giant slaloms of the women European Cup. In addition all the major ski champions know Paganella for the exciting Alpine Rockfest, an original ski race knockout to the rhythm of music.
